Sales Director Position

Job Summary


Advancing Eco Agriculture is a rapidly growing company in the specialty plant nutrition, bio stimulants,  and crop consulting industry. We are looking for two strong leaders to take on the role of Sales Director. Due to increase in demand we will be looking to fill an Eastern and Western Sales Director position. This position is open to all areas of the USA.

We are developing our sales and agronomy team nationally. This role will have fifteen direct reports immediately, with rapid growth in the near future. 

This is a new role and will be tasked with building and implementing new systems and processes and a solid foundation for continued growth. We are looking for someone that brings systems development experience along with sales management experience.

Key Responsibilities of Sales Director:

  • Build sales in key domestic regions, focused on CA, PNW, and SE

  • Drive the achievement of company sales goals

  • Develop and present options for incentive programs

  • Lead the development of long-term sales strategies

  • Collaborate across departments to identify and develop new products, new markets, and product market fit

  • Manage forecasting and sales planning

  • Manage sales data collection and reporting using Salesforce

  • Develop team accountability and engagement with company tools

  • Work with leadership to develop pricing strategies

  • Assess competition

  • Identify and analyze new markets for expansion

  • Build sales team culture and energy

  • Work with other department heads to build an exceptional customer experience

  • Work hand in hand with R&D, Customer Experience, and Marketing teams

  • Develop a collaborative team culture with remotely located team members

  • Other roles and responsibilities will be defined as the position develops


Key Requirements for Sales Director:

  • Proven track record of building sales

  • Experience and knowledge in successful team leadership and management

  • Excellent negotiation and leadership skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Ag related discipline, or significant experience in Ag industry

  • Willing to travel often

  • Highly communicative and collaborative

  • Capacity to manage various projects and work to tight deadlines

  • Tech savvy - must have a high-level working knowledge of basic digital platforms

  • Salesforce, HubSpot  experience

  • Spanish language skills (desirable)
