Middlefield, Ohio: Advancing Eco Agriculture (AEA) has announced the close of $4.7 million of financing to accelerate growth and propel regenerative agriculture across North America and beyond. This is the first outside investment for AEA, which has been a leader in regenerative agriculture since its inception in 2006.
Financing was led by seasoned ag investor Tree Trunk Light, with other non-equity financing.
AEA has improved the agronomics and economics of North American farmers for 16 years by focusing intently on soil and plant health. Their regenerative agricultural systems work in harmony with nature to create nutrient-rich, productive soils that feed disease-resistant plants.
AEA helps farmers reduce and often eliminate the need for herbicides and pesticides, while simultaneously improving the performance and profitability of the crop.
“We are thrilled to work with investors who know agriculture and fully grasp the potential of AEA in changing how the world grows food,” said Jason Hobson, CEO of AEA. “We are committed to building on John Kempf’s vision and expertise to help farmers increase yields, improve quality, and grow profits.”
This investment will support - growing AEA’s first-in-class agronomy team, pursuing R&D trials in new and innovative areas of regenerative agriculture, and building AI and tech platforms that will bring regenerative agriculture decision making and best practices directly to farmers.
To facilitate this transaction and the implementation of AEA’s strategic plan, Tree Trunk Light's Founder and Managing Director, Paul Bergman, will continue in his role as Executive Chairman of AEA. Bergman has nearly two decades of executive leadership experience in the global agriculture and food industries.
“We are very excited to make this investment that will accelerate the expansion of AEA’s geographic footprint and outsized impact on food quality, yield and farmer profitability, through a holistic approach that combines regenerative agronomy expertise, with actionable data and ecologically minded plant nutrition products and solutions,” said Bergman. “John Kempf’s vision of transforming global agriculture is now embodied by AEA's growing and most impressive team of regenerative agronomy professionals, who are collectively revolutionizing farming.”
About Advancing Eco Agriculture
Since 2006, AEA has worked on over 4 million acres with North American farmers to produce healthier soil, stronger crops, and higher profits with customized nutritional biological programs. AEA’s regenerative agriculture systems balance microbial, mineral, and mechanical inputs to consistently improve farm profitability by increasing fruit size, quality, and overall yield. We work with growers to create custom plant nutrition programs that solve crucial problems for farmers when other systems and solutions fail.
