Full-Time Customer Care Operations Specialist

We seek a hands-on, collaborative, empathetic, and strategic Customer Care Operations Specialist. The candidate best suited for this position is a proactive self-starter, diligent worker, and resourceful individual with a foundation in customer experience. Background and knowledge of botanical science or agronomy are strongly preferred to join the expanding team at AEA. It is important that the person who fills this role aligns with our approach, is mission-driven, and possesses the capacity to quickly familiarize themselves with AEA products and services. 




  • Work to consistently provide outstanding customer experiences when handling customer communications, driven by a strong ability to proactively and reactively address customer concerns with efficacy, empathy, and patience. 

  • Attend to inbound and outbound communication through multiple channels to connect with current and potential customers.

  • Satisfy customer queries and requests directly or route the customer to the correct data, information, or sales team member. 

  • Become an effective and proficient agent with our helpdesk and both our online and phone ordering processes.

  • Screen, schedule, and hand-off target customers to consultant team members for a more customized consultation experience.

  • Track orders and shipments through fulfillment and instigate follow up in order to gauge customer satisfaction.

  • Coordinate with other departments and team members to document and resolve issues, and seek remedies to both emergent and persistent problems.

  • Discharge other duties as assigned.




  • Be an authentic, empathetic, open-minded, tactful, and professional person who genuinely enjoys creating rapport with others and who finds satisfaction in the power of human connection.

  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively deal with escalated company needs.

  • Possess the ability to identify and bridge communication gaps. 

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Have 3-5 years in customer success, customer experience, customer care, customer service and/or account management.

  • Demonstrate a high degree of competency with technology and a solid working knowledge of standard business software like G Suite and Office Suite. 

  • Possess the ability to work well in and across teams, as a collaborator and hands-on contributor.

  • Be agile with systems and process thinking.


Preferred Skills and Qualities:


  • Customer service training or certifications

  • Working knowledge of online scheduling applications and helpdesk tools, especially Ring Central and Zendesk, or similar

  • Active interest in and willingness to gain/further agronomic knowledge as it relates to regenerative agriculture

  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software, like Salesforce, and  business phone system software, like Ring Central, or similar 

  • Familiarity with tenets of non-violent communication 

  • Ability to maintain efficacy and comfort in a fast-paced environment

  • Find that critical thinking and problem-solving are exciting to you

Field Technician Position

Job Summary


The Field Technician works closely with consultants, managing and building the customer base while gaining the experience needed to become an AEA Soil and Plant Health Consultant. 

Job Objectives:

  • Learn regenerative agronomy consulting skills while assisting experienced AEA consultants 

  • Build client success in partnership with consultant team

  • Write nutritional programs and other documents for clients, working from consultant notes

  • Customer communications and screening calls to enhance fluidity of primary consultants workload

  • Address customer questions 

  • Improve customer retention

  • Be prepared  to manage and maintain a significant customer base by the end of the first year

Job Duties:

  • Create and manage extraordinary customer relationships for assigned territory

  • Regularly identify and evaluate customer needs through on-site visits

  • Collect, organize, and analyze customer agronomic data

  • Consistently promote the most impactful products and services to new and existing customers

  • Maintain excellent records

  • Organize and conduct field trials

  • Help organize presentations, demonstrations, trainings, field days, and farm walks

  • Communicate effectively (both in writing and orally) with current and potential customers

  • Stay informed about industry and company developments

  • Properly manage administrative duties

Sales Agronomy Consultant

Key Responsibilities of Sales/Agronomy Consultant:

  • Build new client relationships

Key Requirements for Sales Agronomist:

  • Proven track record of building sales

  • Strong agronomic background, with experience in plant nutrition, soil science or other agriculture-related science—technical understanding of plant nutrition is essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Ag related discipline, or significant experience in Ag industry

  • Possess or willing to obtain CCA certification

  • Tech savvy: must have a high-level working knowledge of basic digital platforms

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Willingness to travel often with intense seasonal hours

  • Intimate knowledge of agriculture production practices, with knowledge of fruit and vegetable crops a big plus (required in CA, OR, WA, FL & NY)
