Field Technician Position

Job Summary

 

The Field Technician works closely with consultants, managing and building the customer base while gaining the experience needed to become an AEA Soil and Plant Health Consultant. 

Job Objectives:

  • Learn regenerative agronomy consulting skills while assisting experienced AEA consultants 

  • Build client success in partnership with consultant team

  • Write nutritional programs and other documents for clients, working from consultant notes

  • Customer communications and screening calls to enhance fluidity of primary consultants workload

  • Address customer questions 

  • Improve customer retention

  • Be prepared  to manage and maintain a significant customer base by the end of the first year
     

Job Duties:

  • Create and manage extraordinary customer relationships for assigned territory

  • Regularly identify and evaluate customer needs through on-site visits

  • Collect, organize, and analyze customer agronomic data

  • Consistently promote the most impactful products and services to new and existing customers

  • Maintain excellent records

  • Organize and conduct field trials

  • Help organize presentations, demonstrations, trainings, field days, and farm walks

  • Communicate effectively (both in writing and orally) with current and potential customers

  • Stay informed about industry and company developments

  • Properly manage administrative duties 

  • Solicit references and success stories for promotional purposes

  • Represent AEA at trade shows and conferences

  • Perform other related duties for the company, as needed

Sales/Agronomy Consultant

Job Summary

 

Advancing Eco Agriculture is a rapidly growing specialty plant nutrition and regenerative agriculture  consulting company. We are looking for sales/ agronomy consultants.

Key Responsibilities of Sales/Agronomy Consultant:

  • Build new client relationships

  • Manage existing client relationships

  • Reach personal sales goals to help reach team and company sales goals

  • Constantly evaluate customer needs and build productive long-lasting relationships

  • Consistently touch base with customers and provide ongoing education

  • Interpret multiple types of soil, plant sap, and water quality analysis to identify specific nutritional needs and opportunities coming from the field

  • Create agronomic recommendations and product application guidelines

  • Work to develop forecasting and sales planning for the region

  • Meet team and personal engagement and sales targets

  • Manage sales data collection and reporting using Salesforce

  • Be accountable and engage with Salesforce platform

  • Work with other department heads to build an exceptional customer experience

  • Develop a collaborative team culture with remotely located team members

  • Research accounts and follow through on sales leads

  • Attend meetings, sales events, and training to keep abreast of the latest developments

  • Provide crop scouting and in-field support, as needed, to maintain key accounts

  • Manage personal time and energy consciously and intentionally

  • Constantly solicit customer feedback and testimonials

  • Lead the resolution of customers complaints

  • Follow credit policies and help manage risk

  • Other roles and responsibilities will be defined as the position develops
     

Key Requirements for Sales Agronomist:

  • Proven track record of building sales

  • Strong agronomic background, with experience in plant nutrition, soil science or other agriculture-related science—technical understanding of plant nutrition is essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Ag related discipline, or significant experience in Ag industry

  • Possess or willing to obtain CCA certification

  • Tech savvy: must have a high-level working knowledge of basic digital platforms

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Willingness to travel often with intense seasonal hours

  • Intimate knowledge of agriculture production practices, with a knowledge of fruit and vegetable crops a big plus (required in CA, OR, WA, FL & NY)
