Agricultural Marketing Manager - Full Time

Position Description

We seek a hands-on, collaborative, empathetic, and strategic marketer with plant nutrition, soil science, or other agricultural science-related expertise and excellent agricultural content writing skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, author, and design plant and soil health content and campaigns (articles, video scripts, webinar slides, booklets, e-books, infographics, PR pitches, webpages, and more) throughout the customer journey, to attract new leads and to continually engage current customers

  • Manage brand-imprinted promotional items, customer gift boxes, and apparel online store

  • Manage company collateral (print, ship, update where necessary)

  • Manage paid advertisements media channel and create ads/content

  • Build top-of-funnel advertisement/promotional campaigns and support events to drive qualified lead generation in partnership with PR & Event Marketing Manager

  • Build retargeting campaigns and other bottom-of-funnel tactics in partnership with Customer Experience and Marketing Specialist

  • Execute and manage social media strategy in partnership with Content Marketing Manager

  • Works closely with CMO on marketing plan and metrics

  • Participate in website management by creating and updating website content

  • Monitor competitors content and market trends on social media

  • Create marketing reports on all marketing tactics, in collaboration with other marketing team members and create plans to improve metrics where necessary

  • Support and coach other marketing team members where necessary

  • Develop product labels, and product marketing campaigns along with the R&D and Sales teams

  • Other duties, as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Have at least 7 years of experience in marketing, PR or communications or related fields, and at least 2 in agricultural marketing

  • Demonstrate flawless written and verbal communication skills

  • Obtain regenerative agriculture training via AEA internal training path

  • Bring expertise in creating digital marketing campaigns, collateral, content, social media posts and marketing reports

  • Possess graphic design skills

  • Possess the ability to manage many deadlines and projects

  • Be comfortable working well in and across teams, as a collaborator, hands-on contributor and a coach

  • Possess the ability to work remotely and in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrate a high degree of competency with technology and a solid working knowledge of standard business software like G Suite and Office Suite

  • Be agile with systems and process thinking

  • Possess knowledge around the customer journey, sales funnel, and inbound marketing tactics

  • Comfortable traveling up to 5% for conferences/events and meetings.

Preferred skills and qualifications:

  • Have experience with writing regenerative agricultural marketing content (blog posts, webpages, webinars, etc)

  • Bring an active interest in and willingness to gain/further agronomic knowledge as it relates to regenerative agriculture

  • Have experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software, like Hubspot or SalesForce

  • Possess a high degree of emotional intelligence

  • Possess the ability to maintain efficacy and comfort in a fast-paced environment.
